Satin Fishtail Wedding Dress

Satin Fishtail Wedding Dress Ensures Unbelievable Bridal Look

Peculiarities of Fishtail Wedding Dress

Satin Fishtail Wedding DressWhen preparing for the wedding, a bride spends much time for a choice of her bridal gown. So a fishtail wedding dress is one of the most wonderful dress styles which never go out of fashion. Irrespective of whether it is a satin fishtail wedding dress, a lace mermaid gown or any other fishtail dress model, such a dress is tight-fitted to the body, down to the knee. And at the knee, the skirt flares out. Besides, a fishtail gown is always a floor-length one. Sometimes, it even has a train. Thanks to this, a bride’s gait becomes slinky and hasteless.

This fishtail dress style originated during the Hollywood’s Golden Age of the 1930s. At that time, Madeleine Vionnet who was the French designer invented a skirt flaring to the bottom. So this invention suited the taste of the most fashionable women. In the course of time, the designers transformed a skirt into a dress. Year by year, a fishtail gown is becoming more and more feminine and elegant. Therefore, it has not been losing its popularity for several decades.

Indeed, every designer tries to include a mermaid dress into his or her wedding dress collection. Moreover, every year the designers bring their new ideas and accents to this dress model. Thus, these new accents can be bows, white fabric flowers or numerous ruffles making a dress more similar to a fishtail. Also, almost all fishtail bridal gowns are backless. That is why it became a tradition to complement these dresses with lace boleros. In addition, it is worth noting that there are so many types of mermaid wedding dresses due to the variety of fabrics which the designers use to make the gowns. And satin is one of the most luxurious fabrics used for this purpose.

What You Should Know about Satin Fishtail Wedding Dress

Satin is a dense silk or half-silk fabric with a smooth, shiny face. In fact, smoothness of satin reminds a backing fabric. This fabric was always in great demand for making wedding dresses. Usually, the designers decorate satin wedding dresses with beads and delicate embroidery. However, the disadvantage of satin is that it tends to wrinkle easily. Besides, this fabric highlights the figure flaws. However, if your figure is ideal, feel free to wear a satin bridal gown. Surely, it will make you even more perfect.

A satin fishtail wedding dress has a full pleated skirt with a long train. Otherwise, it is a straight cut satin dress flared to the bottom. In this case, a bridal gown also has a train, but without pleats. A satin mermaid bridal gown is great for tall girls with perfect body curves. Therefore, when choosing such a bridal outfit, you have to be confident in your slenderness.

Sometimes, the designers overload satin fishtail wedding dresses with different decorations trying to make them more luxurious. However, in reality, a bride gets an overloaded composition distracting attention from the dress style. Furthermore, satin is quite an individual fabric which is shiny and luxurious by itself. Nothing looks as elegant as a simple satin mermaid bridal gown complemented only with a bride’s beauty.

In our bridal shop, you can find satin fishtail bridal gowns for any taste. A variety of original and wonderful dress models will satisfy even the most demanding brides. Our satin mermaid bridal outfits allow you to choose not only beautiful but also stylish dress which meets all the modern trends in wedding fashion. We will bend every effort to make your bridal look unbelievable!

Sizing Guide

Dresses standard length is 120 cm /48 inch/ from the waistline to the floor.

We always recommend having a professional take all of your measurements. For the most accurate measurements, don’t measure over your clothing. Your dress size measurements should be taken while wearing undergarments similar to the ones you will wear with your dress. The measuring tape shouldn’t be pulled too tight or have too much slack, and should always be parallel to the floor.

Bust: Place the measuring tape across your nipples and measure around the largest part of your chest. Be sure to keep the tape parallel to the floor
Waist: Place the measuring tape about a 1/2 inch above your bellybutton (at the narrowest part of your waist) to measure around your torso. When measuring your waist, exhale and measure before inhaling again.
Hips: Place the measuring tape across the widest part of your hips/buttocks and measure all the way around while keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

All dresses on our website can be custom made to exact measurements if you provide us with your custom sizes. If you decide to order standard size, you may use the following charts to map your measurements to the closest size to be ordered. If your measurements indicate one size for the “bust” and a different size for the “waist and/or hips”, we suggest ordering according to the largest measurement. Dresses can easily be taken in by a skilled tailor or professional seamstress.
