Finding the Perfect Wedding Dress Styles

Wedding Dress Styles You are getting married. That is great news! The next step to approach your dream is to find the perfect wedding dress. You may have a certain image of it in your mind. However, in fact, the process of choosing a dress appears to be not so easy, as it may look.
As soon as a future bride comes to the bridal shop, she can be overwhelmed by the variety of wedding dress styles and choices. They say that you cannot judge the dress by being on the hanger. It has to be on you. So here is a tip: take every possible dress, you can try on until you find the perfect one. It is quite important to learn what kind of wedding silhouettes would suit you the most. The right silhouette is a dress with the right shape that fits your body type. First of all, make sure that you know your body type while looking for the right silhouette so that you would look beautiful on your wedding day.

Here are some of the examples of wedding dress:

  • A ball gown with a full luxurious skirt sets the mood for formal weddings. It will make you feel like a princess out of a fairytale. Typically, this dress looks gorgeous in tulle, satin, or organza, with draping and pickups.
  • The empire wedding dress with a high waist is also known as Greek style dress. The top of it fits the bust line tightly, while the skirt falls straight down the body. Despite the seeming simplicity, these wedding dresses have their own flavor.
  • The A-line silhouette resembles the letter ‘A’. The waistline of a dress is a little sloped, and a flared skirt makes the whole look complete and perfect.
  • The mermaid & fishtail style dress hugs the body and elongates the torso. It looks perfect in silk, satin, or lace. The brides usually wear mermaid & fishtail style dresses at formal weddings.

Wedding Dress Styles Since different wedding dress styles suit different body shapes, let’s see which one is best for you.

A ball gown with a full luxurious skirt has been a traditional look for many brides. It is the best choice for a woman with an hourglass figure. If you have beautiful breasts, a fine waist, and average hips, you can wear a ball gown wedding dress to show off all of your beauty. It accentuates the positive, and at the same time, minimizes the problem areas. As a result, it can look amazing on women of all sizes.

The empire waist dress has been on the list of the most favorite silhouettes for centuries. It is very easy to move around in it. Besides, it is perfect for beach weddings. The empire waist wedding dress tends to flatter women with small busts; brides, who are short, petite, or don’t have a fine waist. The defining line creates the illusion of a larger chest. By the way, it fits the brides, who are pregnant.

The A-line is comfortable, light, and easy to wear. It is a very classic silhouette of a bride. The A-line dresses would be a great solution for the ladies, who have heavier hips areas. In fact, they fit most types of body shapes, creating the illusion of a narrow waistline.

Wedding Dress Styles Mermaid & fishtail dress is perfect for a bride, who wants to show off her curves. A mermaid silhouette has become extremely popular. The overall line of a silhouette makes short brides look taller. This wedding dress style is primarily suitable for tall and slender girls, who wish to emphasize their sexuality.

It may seem unbelievable, but there are two hundred shades of bridal colors. You can also add color in other ways, besides just the color of the dress, from your jewelry to your accessories, belt, and shoes. You have a possibility to express your personality, and not just as a bride, but as a woman you are.

Veils are important. There are so many different styles of veils. Find the one for you. The wedding day is going to be the only occasion in your life for you to wear a veil. When the ceremony is over, take the veil off. Instead, you may have an accessory for the party to put in your hair that matches the dress. So, accessorize, add color and style. Don’t hide your personality!

Sizing Guide

Dresses standard length is 120 cm /48 inch/ from the waistline to the floor.

We always recommend having a professional take all of your measurements. For the most accurate measurements, don’t measure over your clothing. Your dress size measurements should be taken while wearing undergarments similar to the ones you will wear with your dress. The measuring tape shouldn’t be pulled too tight or have too much slack, and should always be parallel to the floor.

Bust: Place the measuring tape across your nipples and measure around the largest part of your chest. Be sure to keep the tape parallel to the floor
Waist: Place the measuring tape about a 1/2 inch above your bellybutton (at the narrowest part of your waist) to measure around your torso. When measuring your waist, exhale and measure before inhaling again.
Hips: Place the measuring tape across the widest part of your hips/buttocks and measure all the way around while keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

All dresses on our website can be custom made to exact measurements if you provide us with your custom sizes. If you decide to order standard size, you may use the following charts to map your measurements to the closest size to be ordered. If your measurements indicate one size for the “bust” and a different size for the “waist and/or hips”, we suggest ordering according to the largest measurement. Dresses can easily be taken in by a skilled tailor or professional seamstress.
