Elegant Wedding Gloves as a Chic Accessory for Your Wedding

Wedding Gloves: A Trendy Choice

Wedding GlovesWedding gloves are an accessory that never goes out of fashion. Many brides (and not only brides) perceive this accessory as an attribute of stylishness that can give a bridal look a special elegance. So if you correctly choose this important attribute, you can emphasise the beauty of your figure, complete the bridal look, and make the wedding ceremony solemn. It is you who decides whether the gloves are necessary or not. And if yes, you should know what to consider looking for this chic bridal accessory.

Wedding Gloves in Harmony with Wedding Dress

One of the main criteria for choosing the perfect wedding gloves is their colour. Thus, the gloves colour should harmonise with the dress colour. However, it is not obligatory to strive for absolute colour coincidence. It is quite permissible if the gloves colour shade will be a little different. In rare cases, the contrasting colour combinations are also possible, especially if such a contrasting colour palette is traced in the other bridal accessories.

Wedding Gloves Fabric

The choice of fabric for the wedding gloves depends on the season when you plan to assign a wedding day. In the warm season, the gloves made of chiffon, lace, silk, moire, satin or thin cotton are best suited. In the cold season, when the gloves should play not only a decorative role but also protect from the cold, it is better to choose the multi-layer gloves made of dense, textured fabrics, such as jacquard, crepe, taffeta, brocade, etc.

Wedding Gloves Length

Wedding GlovesThe length of the wedding gloves depends on several factors:

  • The shape of the bride’s arms.

If your arms are a bit heavy, choose the gloves with a shaping effect. Besides, if you like long nails, you have to take this aspect into account when purchasing the gloves. Thus, in this case, it is advisable to choose the fingerless bridal gloves. By the way, such gloves look very attractive. For the toned arms, all the gloves are suitable.

  • Length and shape of the wedding gown sleeves.

If you choose a short-sleeved wedding dress, wear the elbow length gloves or wrist length gloves. The long-sleeved dress implies the use of wrist length gloves. Moreover, for a sleeveless dress or a strapless dress, it is preferable to pick the opera length gloves.

  • The formality of the celebration.

The more formal your celebration is, the longer the gloves should be. If you are going to arrange the celebration in the daytime, the wrist length gloves will be a great option. However, if the celebration falls on the evening, the opera length gloves will be more appropriate.

Wedding Gloves and Wedding Ring

Wedding GlovesIf you want to buy the wedding gloves covering the fingers, it is worth thinking in advance how the groom will wear a wedding ring on your finger. Of course, you can take off the glove before this solemn moment. However, it does not go against the rules of etiquette if the groom wears the wedding ring over the glove. But if you worry about the wedding ring wearing, the fingerless gloves are an ideal choice for you.

Sizing Guide

Dresses standard length is 120 cm /48 inch/ from the waistline to the floor.

We always recommend having a professional take all of your measurements. For the most accurate measurements, don’t measure over your clothing. Your dress size measurements should be taken while wearing undergarments similar to the ones you will wear with your dress. The measuring tape shouldn’t be pulled too tight or have too much slack, and should always be parallel to the floor.

Bust: Place the measuring tape across your nipples and measure around the largest part of your chest. Be sure to keep the tape parallel to the floor
Waist: Place the measuring tape about a 1/2 inch above your bellybutton (at the narrowest part of your waist) to measure around your torso. When measuring your waist, exhale and measure before inhaling again.
Hips: Place the measuring tape across the widest part of your hips/buttocks and measure all the way around while keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

All dresses on our website can be custom made to exact measurements if you provide us with your custom sizes. If you decide to order standard size, you may use the following charts to map your measurements to the closest size to be ordered. If your measurements indicate one size for the “bust” and a different size for the “waist and/or hips”, we suggest ordering according to the largest measurement. Dresses can easily be taken in by a skilled tailor or professional seamstress.
